The University of Mary has its roots in providing adult-friendly degree programs. Today, U-Mary is especially military-friendly with its participation in the Yellow Ribbon Education Enhancement Program.  

“For years, U-Mary has offered scholarships to military students, but through the Yellow Ribbon Program a U-Mary education will be affordable to even more students,” says Brenda Kaspari, vice president for enrollment services. “It is a small way we can thank them for their service.”

U-Mary has always made serving adults a priority. This has created a keen understanding of the unique needs of adult learners:
• Classes typically run 5-7 weeks
• Degrees can be completed in as few as 15 months
• In a “cohort” format, in which students learn from each other and earn their degree together.

Throughout their course of study, each student has an advisor to assist with questions and guidance regarding programs, planning, policies, procedures, registration, and degree requirements. Faculty are likewise available to monitor student progress, offer assistance and address questions. The advisor-faculty “team” partner with each student to promote consistent communication, academic support and – most importantly – academic success.
